Sandro Botticelli – Florentine Artist

Sandro Botticelli (1445 – 1510) was an Italian painter of the Florentine school during the early part of the Renaissance. Several of his works are considered to be among the most recognized masterpieces of florentine art. He developed a highly personalized style taking the linear approach to new levels of sophistication. He spent almost all of his life working for the influential families of Florence, in particular the Medici family for whom he mostly painted portraits. Our set of patterns includes his most important works including the Adoration of the Magi, The Birth of Venus, Venus and Mars, Primavera,Portrait of a Man with a Medal, The Return of Judith, Portait of a Young Man, and The Annunciation. There are also many portraits, and several of his “Madonna and Child” paintings he completed late in his life.

Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec – French Post-Impressionist

Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was a French painter in the late nineteenth century who observed and captured in his works, the Parisian nightlife of the period. His favorite scenes included circuses, nightclubs, brothels, and racetracks. Short in stature and having a propensity to drinking, Henri made the most of his short life and is most remembered for his Moulin Rouge themed paintings and posters.
