James McNeill Whistler (1834-1903) was an American born, British painter who believed Art should be for Art’s sake, not for state or religious purposes. His personal motif was a stylized butterfly, which he signed most of his paintings with. Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni (1475 – 1564) was an amazingly talented Italian Renaissance painter and sculptor. Our SegPlayPC collection contains 23 patterns mostly from his renown paintings of the Sistine Chapel in Rome including The Last Judgement, The Sibyl of Delphi, The Cumaean Sibyl, The Creation of Adam, The Prophet Jeremiah, The Erythraean Sibyl, Ignudo, and The Creation of the Sun and Moon. We have also included patterns of two of his most well known sculptures: David and Giuliano de’ Medici.

Edgar Degas (1834-1917) was a original French artist who detoured from the Impressionist style, and experimented with realism, off-center compositions, cropping, color, and form. His favorite subjects included dancers, café life, horses, and women in non-traditional poses (bathing, combing hair and doing laundry).
