The Eiffel Tower is located in Paris, France. It’s a iron lattice structure built in 1889 as an entrance arch to the 1889 World’s Fair which celebrated the centennial of the French Revolution. When it was built, it,was the tallest man made structure (320m/1050ft). It’s named after Gustave Eiffel, the engineer who designed the tower. The tower quickly became the most recognized cultural symbol of both Paris and the country of France.
